Articles are generally quite short compared to websites, but many of the SEO rules still apply to articles. You first have to check out important keywords that you will want to use in your title. The important keywords should be here first.
Where do you find the keywords? I use Google Adwords Keywords Tool, to find the keywords that I will use. I check all of the keywords that have at least 6000 to 9,000 searches a month. These are not quite the busiest searches at Google. You will be more competitive if you just choose a few keywords. You will rank higher for the keywords that you have chosen.
I will make sure that my keyword phrases are listed at least 4 or 5 times in the first 300 words of my article.
